Hi,

You can use epoch milliseconds. If you're working with LocalDateTime for 
instance:

localDateTime.atZone(ZoneId.systemDefault()) .toInstant().toEpochMilli()

would get you something you need I think.

In proto file define it as a long data. Hope it helps.
