Hi, sorry you're having trouble. We are actively working on improving the Windows build experience with cmake (in fact we have continuous tests that verify gRPC is buildable with VS2017 and those are passing, but apparently it's not enough as you're not the first one complaining about having trouble building on Windows). In the meantime, can you post to an existing github issue (if there is already one for the problem you're seeing) or create a new one that describes the problem you are seeing in detail?
