The is very good news! I gave it a test run on some of my projects and its working just fine, including imports and well-known .protos. I haven't needed to use more advanced features yet. I've sidled up to this in a handful of GitHub posts [1]: I would like .proto codegen to be implicit for files in the current project's directory structure by default when default items are enabled, like in the newer SDK-based projects.
