I had the problem already some years ago
(https://github.com/grpc/grpc/issues/11879). In the meantime, we helped us
out by using grpclb for name resolution purposes. We also discussed about
other solutions: https://github.com/grpc/grpc/pull/13639

There also is the long plan to have a public resolver API discussed in here
https://github.com/grpc/grpc/pull/16617

Sadly for us, grpclb does not seem to be selected by default anymore in
favor of xDS and therefore now broke our code base. I have also not found a
way to set the service config in C# to select the grpclb LB policy
directly. Can anyone point me into the direction of how to set it in C#? I
assume there's a channel option?

I would like to avoid having to change our workaround from grpclb to xDS
and hope that there will be some progress on the public resolver API
instead.
