Steps to reproduce:
1. cat > small.cfg << EOF
linux (hd,2)/vmlinuz-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4 root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
initrd (hd,2)/initrd-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4.img
EOF
2. cat > title.cfg << EOF
title linux
linux (hd,2)/vmlinuz-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4
root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
initrd (hd,2)/initrd-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4.img
EOF
3. start GRUB in rescue mode (i.e. no accessible grub.cfg)
4. run 'configfile <dev>/small.cfg' and then 'boot'
Crash OF.
5. run 'configfile <dev>/title.cfg'.
Worse crash, overwriting my screen with OF garbage. Marco, if you can
reproduce on Pegasos perhaps you will be able to capture the full log
(try with 'set debug=all').
I've been messing with these for a couple hours and getting nowhere.
I've just recorded a video clip with a digital camera, and it appears
the the crash is occuring after the config file has been completely
loaded. I see "GNU GRUB version 1.90" redrawn on the screen, then the
crash.
