Sorry, I gave you incomplete information. I can use 'multiboot' to load the netbsd from any kind of fs, but it makes no difference: 'boot' then causes the machine to reboot instantly. The same applies to aout: I can aout load from any fs, but then 'boot' make the machine hang. The type of fs makes no difference. I can still 'chainload +1' or 'linux' successfully.
