I just did now a clean `svn co', ran `./configure' and it worked fine. I'm running Debian sid (unstable) + partly experimental. Just for guessing the build system gcc, autoconf etc. version shouldn't matter. I don't know slackware but gcc 3.3.4 sounds rather old. If I export it with `svn export --native-eol LF' and compare it with diff `-ur' then it's showing me only missing .svn directory nothing else.
