I talked about this with Zach. It is a bug in ASDF: #+clisp ;XXX not exactly *verbose-out*, I know (ext:run-shell-command command :output :terminal :wait t)
see http://common-lisp.net/project/asdf/asdf.lisp Try commenting out one of the read-line forms in defun gsl-config: http://repo.or.cz/w/gsll.git/blob/6010bde348c55267e7746d5d5cd386288810723b:/init/init.lisp#l42 and see if that helps. If it does I'll put a conditional into the GSL code. Otherwise I don't think there's an easy fix to GSLL.
