Well, you answered my next question... The 4g93 can handle 17psi of boost with the TD04... I ran that for years....
Later, I was running an EVO 3 turbo at 15/16psi... John Germanos also runs this setup on his GSR with stock internals... I've never had an issue running these boost levels, providing you have a switch on tuner... Detontation will send a rod through the block! These power limits are pushing the limits of the standard rods. RPM kills rods more so than boost! 15/16psi with a TD05 with the stock pistons will be fine... I personally havent heard of a GSR blowing skirts at these boost levels with a TD05.... Also, you need to look at your fuel system and engine management. In your situation, I'd recommend vr4 injectors, fuel reg, larger fuel pump and a unichip.... Should see you with around [EMAIL PROTECTED] at 15psi.... >From: "mimmo_gsr" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: [GSR_EVO] Re: Rods and Pistons >Date: Thu, 04 Nov 2004 05:33:18 -0000 > > >"> Probably not a real need to go to a forged piston for 16psi... >Besides, when you try and push the 4g93 into high boost, you really >need to start looking at lining the cylinders..
