Just to bring this topic up again.  I've just been doing a bit of research.  Does anyone know if the Ralliart/AWD magna twin pot calipers are the same as the evo/fto ones?  I just ask, as they use the 294mm disc on the ralliart and 276mm disc on standard magna (but both car share the same hub part number).  I thought maybe Ralliart calipers would be an option if you wanted to run the larger discs.

The EVO 1,2 and 3 calipers WILL NOT bolt onto a GSR with the 294mm rotors. they will only bolt on with the 176mm rotors. (DBA 425) and in using the magna specified rotor you only need to actually drill 1 new hole to make them fit a GSR. $110ea for slotted only from www.discpads.com.au

So in theory seeing as quite a large number of us run 17inch wheels.
The best bolt-on brake upgrade would be the Evo 1-4 calipers and
294mm rotors?

Generally i've found that anything Evo or GSR raises the price
significantly, so the best thing to do would be getting DBA417 AWD
TJ Magna slotted blanks and then get them redrilled in the
appropriate stud pattern. The magna slotted blanks were $150 each
last time i checked for the DBA425 276mm ones.
