What he said (18mm). It's definitely a required upgrade. I can't imagine anyone going back to the stock unit for tarmac. Gravel/dirt rallying might be a different story? It basically makes the car heaps more neutral handling - reduces the roll of the entire chassis (so the front tyres don't roll over onto the outside edge of the tyres so much), and unsettles the rear just enough to induce oversteer in some circumstances.
I think whiteline used to do a 22mm rear bar (not anymore), but I think that would be too big. As for the clips, I didn't have any problem on the evo 1. I put the supplied lubricant on the swaybarfirst, then popped on the bushes & forced the clips back on over the new bushes. It's not easy, but seemed normal to me for a new bush in an original mounting. Alex. --- RE: [GSR_EVO] Re: Rear sway bar By the way, i had trouble fitting the bar into the new poly bushes they supply, the clips that hold the bar are really tight, I had to custom fabricate my clips so the bar could move, and the bushes not squash. I knew they had one, but I was seeing if anyone had one lying around gathering dust! Did you notice much of a difference after fitting it? Anyone know what size the standard evo 1 rear sway bar is? Whiteline seem to sell a 20mm "upgrade". --- In [email protected], "lisaalexjade" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi Chris, > > I bought mine recently from a local suspension place, they got it made > to order from Whiteline. > Cost ~$170. > > Or are you looking for a 2nd hand one? > > Alex. > > Community email addresses: Post message: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List Owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
