MPICH-G2 does support F77 and F90.  However, in order to maintain
consistency with Globus, MPICH-G2 will only use the compilers reported by
Globus for the specified flavor.  This means that Globus must be told about
any Fortran compilers when that flavor of Globus is being built.  I'm not an
expert on building Globus, but I believe this is accomplished by setting the
F77 and F90 environment variables before running the Globus configure
script.
