[gt-user] defective credentials found error

hi all
I am trying to call a service deployed in a secure GT4 container on a 
remote machine.
I do have a grid proxy and the host have a host certificate. still I get 
this error:

GSSException: Defective credential detected [Caused by: Proxy file 
(/tmp/x509up_u16845) not found.]

My $X509_USER_PROXYshows this value: /tmp/x509up_u7003


Any idea what is wrong here?
