John,
If you do what you described you actually don't submit from pdclab-01
to pdclab-05, but from pdclab-01 to pdclab-01.
Because you don't specify a factory, neither in your job submission
command (-F) nor in your job description file a.rsl (factoryEndpoint),
you submit to localhost.
Maybe this is the problem. Although i wonder a bit about the error
message...
