Hi, On the quickstart tutorial, this is done at the second machine, right? I believe you have installed simpleCA on the first machine, so unless you install this package on the second machine, it will not be able to trust users with certificates signed by the CA on the first machine. And on my install ( 4.0.2 ), it doesn't create /etc/grid-services, instead the directory /etc/grid-security is created. More details about how GSI works can be found at the globus website.
