Run gpt-config. I think you'll find that GNU untar is not set. We've fixed this problem in the latest release, 4.0.6. However, you can fix it by editing the file in $GLOBUS_LOCATION/lib/perl/Grid/GPT/ where $gunzip is being set, I believe it's called Localize.pm.

The root cause of the error is that gunzip --version was returning "gzip" in the version string instead of "gunzip".

Hi,

I want to install globus 4.0.4 in ubuntu 7.10.

I have install all the required software and liberary, even $ apt-get
install libpod-\*

But there is a error when I run setup-simple-ca when setting up
security after install the gt.

It indicated that

$ gpt-build ~/.globus/simpleCA/ globus_simple_ca_b47b9536_setup-0.19.tar.gz
sh: NOT: not found
ERROR: Untar failed

I think there must be some libary missed. But I don't kown which
libary should to install.

Anyone help?

Thanks very much.
