Silviu, i always use RFT co-located in the same container like WS-GRAM. It performs better, especialy if you set an option in WS-GRAM to not use expensive WS calls in calls to RFT but use the RFT service objects for invocation directly (see http://www.globus.org/toolkit/docs/4.0/execution/wsgram/admin-index.html#s-wsgram-Interface_Config_Frag-rft-invoc) If RFT is located in a different container you have to do WS calls.
