Subject: March 25 & 31 Globus Roadmap discussions
Dear Globus Users & Developers,
You are invited to help steer the future of some Globus development efforts. We
will be holding discussions on major Globus plans involving Data, Security, Job
Execution, Advance Reservation, Monitoring & Discovery, Service Hosting, and
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics in the next week and a half. As many of you know,
the Community Development and Improvement of Globus Software (CDIGS) project,
funded by the NSF/OCI, is an important contributor to Globus development. See
http://confluence.globus.org/CDIGS . The CDIGS Roadmap is a public document and
is available at
http://confluence.globus.org/display/CDIGS/CDIGS+Technology+Roadmap . We are
asking you to give us your feedback on the Roadmap and even to suggest items
that we don't yet have listed. What new features do you need for your work?
There are three ways to contribute your input:
1) Follow the roadmap links into the JIRA bug tracking system. Create an
account for yourself in JIRA, and add comments for the items you are interested
in. (preferred)
2) Participate in either or both of the discussions below (preferred).
3) Send email comments concerning any of the the Roadmap items.
On Tuesday, March 25, starting at 10:00 am Central time we will be discussing
Data, Security, and Troubleshooting. Here is the approximate schedule, although
times will vary depending upon the length of the discussions.
