Can you give us more details?

    * What security (if any is used)?
    * what CPUs on the service and client?
    * is there a specific service that you are using, or is it a custom
      built one?
    * Do you re-use stubs? For example, do you create a resource, and
then use that same resource over and over again? The first
invocation might be more expensive, but subsequent requests should
be much shorter, especially if you use security.
