That was fixed in 2007-08-08. You can fix it for your 4.0.5
installation by editing the pkg_data_src* files in $GLOBUS_LOCATION/
etc/gpt/packages/globus_database_iodbc and removing the extra "lib".
It can also be fixed before the installation in gt4.0.5-all-source-
installer/source-trees/database/c/iodbc/pkg_data_src.gpt

I use the globus-makefile-header command to get the list of library
linker flags (GLOBUS_PKG_LIBS) I need in order to build my globus
stuff. Unfortunately, there seems to be an error in 4.0.5:
The library -llibiodbc_gcc32dbgpthr which is listed in
GLOBUS_PKG_LIBS seems to be a typo and should rather be -
liodbc_gcc32dbgpthr since the library's name is
libiodbc_gcc32dbgpthr.dylib and not liblibiodbc_gcc32dbgpthr.dylib.
