Two things:
1) The || done fix will work
2) You only need to distribute your .0 and .signing_policy files to make trust work. If you want to make grid-cert-request work, you additionally need the *ssl.conf* files. Those are easy enough to distribute without the GPT package.

So there will never be a need to start from scratch with a new CA.

Well, to be honest, the problem may just be trying to use a SimpleCA package created by 4.0 with 4.2. I'll check it out, but it does not sound like there is anything wrong with your install from source. I'll check out the simpleCA package to see if that's the problem.

I see. But many people will be certainly on the same boat: how can I migrate my CA packages to the new GT release? I can not of course simply revoke all of the issued certificates, build new CA packages and reissue new certificates... ;-)
