Any machine that is hosting services needs to have a grid-mapfile. Any client who intends to use a service on the host needs to have an entry in the grid-mapfile. So, yes, your client's DN needs to appear in the server's grid-mapfile. The entries in that log look like a client who connects, but disconnects before the handshake is over. That could either mean a client who does not trust the gatekeeper's credential, or could be some kind of network/port scan that connects and disconnects immediately.
