I have not, but gpt-query is _exceptionally_ slow. If you haven't
tried giving it 10 minutes by the clock, give that a try.
Assuming it really is hanging forever, you can get the advisory
information another way. Under $GLOBUS_LOCATION/etc/gpt/packages/
<advisory_package_name_with_no_version> you can find a bunch of files
that have embedded flavor names in them. Your flavor will be either
"gcc32dbgpthr", "gcc32dbg" or both. So, for instance if you were
upgrading globus_common:
ls etc/gpt/packages/globus_common
bak gcc32dbgpthrpgm.format
gcc32dbg_dev.filelist gcc32dbgpthrrtl.format
gcc32dbg_pgm.filelist gcc32dbgrtl.format
gcc32dbg_rtl.filelist pkg_data_gcc32dbg_dev.gpt
gcc32dbgdev.format pkg_data_gcc32dbg_pgm.gpt
gcc32dbgpgm.format pkg_data_gcc32dbg_rtl.gpt
gcc32dbgpthr_dev.filelist pkg_data_gcc32dbgpthr_dev.gpt
gcc32dbgpthr_pgm.filelist pkg_data_gcc32dbgpthr_pgm.gpt
gcc32dbgpthr_rtl.filelist pkg_data_gcc32dbgpthr_rtl.gpt
gcc32dbgpthrdev.format
The presence of both "gcc32dbg" and "gcc32dbgpthr" in the output means
it is installed in both flavors.

I have successfully installed gt4.2.1-x86_rhas_4 and am trying to
install the related advisories. The gpt-query command runs, but
hangs with no output, regardless of what arguments it is given. It
does not display any output and never returns.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
The system is running RHEL Workstation/5, with perl v5.8.8.
