OK, I will try again from the source as suggested, but just for your information, I already tried using the other binaries I have and the output of "make install" was:
ln -sf /usr/local/globus-4.2.1.1/etc/gpt/packages > /usr/local/globus-4.2.1.1/etc/globus_packages > /usr/local/globus-4.2.1.1/sbin/gpt-postinstall > running /usr/local/globus-4.2.1.1/setup/gsi_openssh_setup/setup-openssh..[ > Changing to /usr/local/globus-4.2.1.1/setup/gsi_openssh_setup ] > Configuring gsi_openssh > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Executing... > > Notes: > > o Privilege separation is off. > o GSI-OpenSSH website is <http://grid.ncsa.uiuc.edu/ssh/>. > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Finished configuring gsi_openssh. > ..Done > Is there anything I can do to test if my installation was successful? I would suggest a sort of procedure or script to test the installation at this point. Here is what I did with the executables that were causing my problems: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/globus-4.2.1.1/bin/ssh.d$* ls -la > total 16 > drwxr-xr-x 2 globus globus 4096 2008-11-26 08:49 . > drwxr-xr-x 3 globus globus 12288 2008-10-02 22:54 .. > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 12 2008-11-26 08:46 scp -> /usr/bin/scp > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 13 2008-11-26 08:47 sftp -> /usr/bin/sftp > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 5 2008-11-20 07:26 slogin -> ./ssh > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 12 2008-11-26 08:47 ssh -> /usr/bin/ssh > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 16 2008-11-26 08:49 ssh-add -> > /usr/bin/ssh-add > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 18 2008-11-26 08:49 ssh-agent -> > /usr/bin/ssh-agent > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 19 2008-11-26 08:49 ssh-keygen -> > /usr/bin/ssh-keygen > lrwxrwxrwx 1 globus globus 20 2008-11-26 08:49 ssh-keyscan -> > /usr/bin/ssh-keyscan > I will report again when I finished trying the source installation.
