Hi,
I'm trying to install GT 4.0.8 following the quickstart guide on the official
website. Now I'm at the point to compile the sources so I did
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/globus-4.0.8/ --with-iodbc=/usr/lib
I got this output:
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking for javac... /usr/bin/javac

checking for ant... /usr/java/apache-ant-1.7.1/bin/ant
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
and then i did:
make | tee installer.log
but after some minute I got the following error:
......
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lodbc
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I have installed iodbc with Synaptic... I can not understand why I got this
error... I tried to find that on google but I can not reach any solution...
For more information I'm using Ubuntu.
I will be really grateful if you can help me to solve that problem...
