Hm, how did you install simpleCA? Did you follow http://www.globus.org/toolkit/docs/latest-stable/admin/quickstart/#q-security? The CA should show up in ~/.globus/simpleCA/ and not in /globus/simpleCA. Does it work if you follow the quickstart guide?
