Hello GT user list,

I'm getting odd behavior getting GridFTP with ssh authentication working.
When I invoke globus-url-copy the server will start fine on the other end,
would accept and acknowledge all the commands until the actual transfer:

repo...@mahone: ~ $ globus-url-copy -dbg -vb -list
sshftp://brasdor.ace-net.ca/home/repoman/
ebug: starting to feat sshftp://brasdor.ace-net.ca/home/repoman
debug: connecting to sshftp://brasdor.ace-net.ca/home/repoman
debug: response from sshftp://brasdor.ace-net.ca/home/repoman:
220 clhead.stfx.acenet.ca GridFTP Server 3.15 (gcc64dbgpthr, 1222656151-78)
[Globus Toolkit 4.2.1] ready.

debug: authenticating with sshftp://brasdor.ace-net.ca/home/repoman

....snip....

debug: response from sshftp://brasdor.ace-net.ca/home/repoman:
227 Entering Passive Mode (10,30,20,232,195,97)

debug: sending command to sshftp://brasdor.ace-net.ca/home/repoman:
MLSD /home/repoman

And then hang at this point. But the odd thing is if I use nc to connect to
that port on the machine I get back what I request, the directory listing:

nc -v -v brasdor.ace-net.ca 50017
brasdor.ace-net.ca [141.109.55.1] 50017 (?) open

 sent 0, rcvd 2599

This tells me the server is ready to send the wanted data, but the client
can¹t connect to the proper port.

I¹ve went through the firewall document, and have the proper ports open.
And the simple tests in the user guide have all passed. Do you folks have
any ideas about how I might fix this, or what I can test next?

Thank a million,

Stephen Condran
