Dear List I am a student in FAST-NUCES Lahore campus (Pakistan). I am doing my Final year project on grid computing. I have some queries for which i required your help. First i am extremely novice to grid computing and Linux.
I am making a grid using Haddop, Sun Grid Engine and Globus toolkit. 1) Making a haddop cluster. 2)Sun Grid Engine 3) Globus toolkit. Queries: 1) Why we need Sun grid engine when Haddop (or any other cluster) is able to do almost all services provided by grid engine. 2) I am getting a lot of troubles in the compatibility i.e if OS (Fedora , CentOS etc) ic compatiable with cluster then it is not compatiable with Grid Engine or Globus toolkit. I have followed many tutorials and have tried many clusters,still no success. 3) If you can refer me to any tutorial which tell how to make a grid (considering that i am novice in grid computing and linux).
