Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that the student application deadline for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is in a week (April 8th). If you are a student who is interested in Globus, being a GSoC student with us will allow you to work on a Globus-related coding project over the summer. Students will be mentored by veteran Globus developers, and each student will get a $5000 stipend from Google.

You can see our list of proposed summer projects here:

        http://dev.globus.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code_2011_Ideas

You will need to write a project proposal (more details in the above URL), and submit it before April 8th. You can find more details about the GSoC program here:

        http://www.google-melange.com/

P.S.- If you are not a student, but know students who could be interested in this, we would appreciate if you forwarded this message to them or to mailing lists that reach students.

Cheers!
