Hi Joe,

Globus Online team just finished Globus Connect Multi-User v0.2.
A pre-release tarball is available to download at
http://mcs.anl.gov/~lukasz/gc/gcmu-0.2.tgz. The tarball includes
a GridFTP server, MyProxy server, MyProxy CA, a GridFTP authz callout
and an installation script. The installation script './install'
can be executed by root and then leads through all configuration
and installation steps asking several questions. You can also run the
script as a normal user. Then you will need to perform manually some
additional steps to configure xinetd daemon and change ownership of two
files.
When you install GCMU you will not need to deal with GridFTP server or
MyProxy server installation by yourself nor ask your admins for it. The
installation script automatically creates a GO endpoint corresponding to
an installed GridFTP server. In your case, please choose the
installation type 1.

We would be happy to hear any feedaback from you on GCMU.

Regards,
Lukasz

Thank you for bringing up globusonline.org. I took a look at it, and it looks like I can only copy data between registered endpoints. If that's the case. can I register my cluster without getting grid credentials? (I would like to keep my installation of globus as lite as possible.) I looked for the answer to this question on globusonline.org, but couldn't find it.

You may also want to take a look at _www.globusonline.org_ <http://www.globusonline.org/>, which also has this update (sync) feature.

Hi Joe,

globus-url-copy has the option -sync-level. Please, use the option -help to get more info.

Hi,
I am copying data from bio-mirror using globus-url-copy. I would like to know if globus-url-copy has an "update" option, where it does not copy previously copied files, or - better - only copies files that are more recent than the local copy. I think what I am looking for is "globus-url-sync", but a function that does not require
a valid certificate.
I could not find any documentation on this feature. I assume that means it does
not exist, but I hope I am wrong about that.
