Why not? Interactive nodes with GSI-SSH access are available in most Grid infrastructures, including D-Grid. They are available specifically to test-drive and prepare jobs and job scripts before submission to production. And furthermore, what kind of "modules" does the user talk about? Kernel modules can never be loaded by non-root users (and I cannot imagine a lot of valid use cases that require specific kernel modules), and apart from user-specific software components, there's not a lot of other modules that take part in a Grid job.
