Hi,

I have installed GT 5.2.0 on two virtual machines(running Fedora 16,
kernel:kernel-3.3.0-8.fc16.i686 ), according to the directions
mentioned inQuick Start
guide<http://www.globus.org/toolkit/docs/5.2/5.2.0/admin/quickstart/#quickstart>.
One machine is acting as server (elephant) the other is working as client
(donkey). Client and server has following packages

server packages: globus-gridftp, globus-gram5 , globus-gridftp-server-progs
, globus-gass-copy-progs , myproxy , myproxy-server , myproxy-admin ,
globus-simple-ca , globus-gss-assist-progs

client packages : globus-gridftp, globus-gridftp-server-progs ,
globus-gass-copy-progs , myproxy , globus-simple-ca ,
globus-gss-assist-progs, globus-gram-client-tools

Setup seemed to work fine without any problem, gsiftp also works fine, but
job submission fails due to different reasons. When I try to run a job
using .rsl file, then server's /var/log/globus/donkey.log says "the job
manager could not stage in a file". The same happens if I try to stage an
executable. If I do not stage in, the it says "the executable does not
exist". I have tried globusrun, globus-job-run and globus-job-submit

There is no firewall, and both computers are connected via ethernet, server
runs a "named" daemon for DNS.

Please guide me what could have went wrong.

Regards,
Manus
