Hi Stu, I don't know how feasible this is, but I have found the best way to get accurate documentation is to hand your final draft to an average expected audience member, and then look over their shoulder while they go through it, taking notes on what trips them up. It really brings to light the omissions and incorrect steps, and makes for a much better final product. I just went through a similar process instructing student workers on how to use PuTTY to port forward into their private virtual CentOS machines, and how to log in and perform some basic CLI steps.
