Hi Jerome,
as far as I know mds is discontinued in GT5. There was talk about
developing a successor technology called IIS
(http://confluence.globus.org/display/IIS/Home) but I don't think that
was actually finished.
it seems that it is stoped for some months..
I use a script that collect the information from my cluster directly.
For my project I wrote my own, tailored information system, I wanted to
have something that was easier to configure and didn't need the
"federated" information aspect.
Did you look into BDII? I heard good things about it...
Yes, i use it on a big grid project with gLite. And it's very usefull.
The problem is atht gLite is "uniquely" for Redhat System for now...
Cheers,
Markus

Dear all
During a past project, i use Globus wwith gridway to made a simple a
efective local grid.
Right, for other project, i'm triying to do the same. But what was my
surprise to discover that Globus v5.2 don't have a information system!
As Gridway will collect dynamic information about the state of the
sites, i will have to implement a information system. SHould i get back
to 4.X version of globus, waiting about new globus version get a
"information system like"?

Si le problème a une solution, il ne sert à rien de s'inquiéter.
Mais s'il n'en a pas, alors s'inquiéter ne change rien.
