*Job Title : .NET, C#/ Programmer Financial Location : NYC ,NY (Local consultants preferred) Duration : 18 + months Rate : $650/Day Face 2 Face interview must* Group manages an order routing system at the core of Equities Client Connectivity. Its role is to facilitate electronic trading order flow between external clients and internal trading desks / execution services. Algorithmic trading; low latency; high performance; messaging… that’s their meat-and-potatoes. The group has 3 teams handling different trading engines (mainly developed in C/C++ and some Java); however the team, where THIS coder will work in, handles ancillary systems (ie. trade reporting or audit systems) and picks up “all the other stuff”. Keys to winning this job – VERY strong C# and .NET skills, from a GUI perspective. The more the candidate has, in terms of the added skills (C/C++, Java, Linux, Oracle), the better the fit to be able to work with the other teams in this group. Also, the environment is complex, so people that can resolve issues well, within these types of environments. Good attitude, team player……. Formal job description from CS: Apply knowledge of Object Oriented Architecture and Design to create enterprise software solutions. Participate in design sessions where features, enhancements or bugs are discussed in professional and respectful manner. Develop high quality programs in C#/.NET with limited supervision. Experience with Oracle database development (SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, etc.) Understand C/C++, Java and Perl code. Collaborate with the team of finding every possible way to enhance existing enterprise systems. Write unit and functional tests. Perform performance tuning and debugging. Create necessary deployment scripts. Deliver working solutions in timely manner. Produce required documentation. Monitor deployed applications. Train production support personal on use of developed systems and enhanced functionality. Provide support by advising in the areas of expertise.
