KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Advanced knowledge of SQL Server backup and restore strategies; experience
with SQL Server Log Shipping Manager a must
Solid T-SQL coding skills; significant Extraction, Transformation and Load
(ETL) experience and strong DTS skills required
Strong analytical skills; must be able to assess business needs meet
directly with end users and translate their requirements into SQL code
Knowledge of BizTalk Server or EDI in an enterprise environment preferred
Ability to manage priorities and handle simultaneous demands; must work well
in a fast paced and demanding environment
Creative troubleshooter with excellent problem solving skills
EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology; Master’s degree preferred; plus
Minimum of four (4) years experience as a Database Administrator in a
production environment managing SQL databases of 100GB or larger and/or
combination of education, experience, and training that provides the
required knowledge and abilities to do the job
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) highly preferred
Experience in health insurance working with complex health claims processing
systems including knowledge of X12 transaction sets mandated by the Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) highly preferred
Experience with Windows Clustering Services, SQL Server Clusters, SQL Server
Reporting Services, or Crystal Enterprise helpful
