Expert experience in core data center technologies required. Undergraduate degree in related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred. Previous experience implementing at least 3 data center environments. PMP certification preferred. Extensive experience building data center environments and understanding of core operating technologies: server, storage, network and DR/BR/Application Resiliency best practices – strong understanding of “end to end” data center practices. Familiarity with data center infrastructure utility services including power, backup power, HVAC, and fire suppression. Strong project management experience with demonstrated achievements in planning, directing and implementing multiple and concurrent large projects. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization – strong relationship building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiating, influencing and conflict resolution skills. Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment Financial Responsibility: Overall financial tracking and reporting including construction costs and equipment procurement. Tracking of technology procurements throughout the process including internal submission of purchase requisition, follow up on order status, confirmation of correct delivery and inventory update. Furnish maintenance plan cost projections for purchased equipment. Develop future cycle replacement schedule for procured equipment.
