*Title : SAN Admin * *Duration : 11 month * *located : Des Moines, Iowa* *Requirements/ Details: *General responsibilities include implementing, maintaining (with vendor assistance), monitoring, managing capacity and performance, testing documenting process and changes, and providing technical support for the storage and SAN infrastructure. This includes a collaborative approach to storage allocations by forming close working relationships with the UNIX and Windows teams. Additional responsibilities include providing technical support for systems infrastructure and assisting with planning and evaluating support for systems infrastructure. - 2 years of experience working as a SAN and/or storage system administrator or four years of experience administering SAN attached servers. - Knowledge of performance and monitoring tooling for SAN and storage as well as an understanding of the underlying data is a plus. - Experience with IBM SVC is highly desired. - Some programming background and understanding would be helpful. - Experience with UNIX, Windows, VMWARE , Veritas, is a plus. - Must have excellent planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, as well as basic presentation, and decision-making skills. - Basic leadership skills are required; excellent time management skills are preferred. - Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. *NICE to HAVE* - Prefer candidates with certifications in major storage products such as IBM, EMC, Hitachi, HP, and Brocade.
