Our SSIS Developer at our client just gave us his 2 weeks’ notice. He
was offered a FTE role and has decided to take it. We have the
EXCLUSIVE to backfill this role.



·         Manager wants 5 resumes, will interview 3-4, and make his
decision from that pool

·         CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO START ON 1/20.

·         Manager wants to go straight to in-person interviews for
local candidates. Will do phone to hire for out of area, but local is
highly preferred since they need someone to start so quickly.



Must be developer level (not architect) and have a healthcare background.



Other notes:



Pure SSIS Developers—someone who has done primarily hands on SSIS
development projects

This person needs to hit the ground running as there will be no ramp up time

Healthcare experience is a must



Job Location: Anaheim, CA

Start Date:  1/20

Duration: 6-12 months

Job Summary:

SQL Server integration Services (SSIS) Developer is responsible for
design and implementation of ETL packages to extract-transform-load
patient data into Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI platform along with
providing technical support for enterprise reporting requirements.

.

Essential Functions:

·         Conduct or participate in meetings with key system owners to
understand current data and systems environment.

·         Develop the BI Data Model & lead the Data Profiling/Data
Mapping aspect of the initiative(s)

·         Build and refines the Data Warehouse data model in a complex
distributed database environment, participate in data architecture,
analysis, and design.

·         Designs ETL processes and develop source to target data
mappings using SSIS tasks like Scripts, Merge, Split, connectors etc.

·         Develop, test, and deploy ETL routines using ETL tools and
external programming/scripting languages, as necessary  Develop
technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data
cleansing, and other ETL-related activities

·         Develops accurate LOEs (Level of Effort) as part of
iteration/sprint planning.

·          Design and implements star schema and ETL for Data marts
using Microsoft BI suite (SSIS).





Design and develop BI/Reporting solutions that may include cubes,
dashboards, published reports, etc.



Additional Responsibilities:

·         Actively participates in weekly build and release process
along with development and Production Support team.

·         Creates Change Requests and follow standard Software
development and change control processes for the code development.



Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

·         Expert with Extract Transformation Load (ETL) tools such as
MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Informatica, etc.

·         Expert in T-SQL, database development, hands on experience
in creating Stored procedures, Indexes, performance tuning, query
optimizations etc.  Good experience in developing BI solutions/Reports
using SSIS, SSAS and SSRS tools.

·         Fair experience writing automated complex SQL scripts to
validate and test the accuracy of database content.



All Applicants must also have:

·         Must understand core BI, data warehouse and advanced
analytics concepts and architecture principles

·         Must have technical experience in integration of multiple
source systems feeding a Data Warehouse.

·         Must have a technical understanding of mainstream data
warehouse database platforms, ETL tools, BI tools and advanced
analytics tools, and how the independent systems work together and
should be architected.

·         Must be able to determine scope, duration, resources
required prior to beginning a project.

·         Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills.

·         Comprehensive knowledge of database applications.

·         Excellent oral and written communications skills.

·         Technical documentation skills

·         Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment



Preferred Qualifications:

·         A Microsoft certification in SQL Server 2008 Data base
development, Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance is
preferred, with the ideal candidate possessing one or more of the
following certifications: MCTS, MCITP, MCA, or MCM

·         Exposure to SharePoint 2010 administration configuration.

·         Good understanding of Healthcare ecosystem and Clinical
Data. Also has fair understanding of HIPAA and HL7 standards



Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education:

·         A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Sciences or
equivalent work experience (5 years

minimum with at least 3 full life cycle implementation project as SSIS
Developer)



Experience:

·         Three or more years of Data Warehouse & BI development
Experience developing ETL processes in SSIS.

·         Experience working with .NET platform, using VB.NET,
ASP.NET, C# language.

·         Experience working with SQL server 2008 R2 and hands on with
T-SQL concepts.

·         Experience with data management and data processing
flowcharting techniques

·         Fair understanding of Healthcare Clinical Data Management.

·         Data Modeling experience for Data Warehouse/Data Marts

·         Advance level SQL programming skills

·         Performance tuning of SQL and Stored Procedures



Training:

Trained on MS BI Suites like SSIS with additional training on SSRS,
SSAS, development and environment management

·         License / Certification:

A Microsoft certification is preferred, with the ideal candidate
possessing one or more of the following certifications: MCTS, MCITP,
MCA, or MCM
