*Job Title: Systems Administrator/EngineerLocation: Jacksonville, FLDuration: Long TermUS Citizen or Green Card holder onlyJob Description:* * Designs, codes and deploys systems utilities to enhance system functionality * Ensures that the technical environment is updated with current, stable versions of software products that comply with approved architecture and system standards. * Ensures availability and performance of hardware and software. Conducts proactive/reactive performance monitoring / analysis to identify system errors and bottlenecks. * Plans, coordinates, tests and implements installations / upgrades / releases of BCBSF systems software and hardware. * Determines change specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware / software compatibility, etc * Understand the processes and procedures for computer hardware and software maintenance and installation. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to installation, maintenance and inventory * Work with technicians to diagnose and resolve issues related to the design and maintenance of infrastructure, hardware and software * Determines when appropriate to escalate to external vendors *Job Requirements - * * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience * 5 or more years current experience in systems programming and/or network administration * Experience with Administration of IIS, Netscaler, Proxy Server environments. * Experience using IDE (Integrated Software Development Environment) tools. * Demonstrated experience writing/using SQL. * Solid programming / debugging skills using at least 3 of the following: .Net, Powershell, VBScript, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, Unix Shell Scripting and SQL. * Must have solid proficiency with Windows and Unix operating systems and basic proficiency with at least one other operating system (such as MVS). * Experience working with multiple databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). * Understanding of security and compliance standards(such as DISA STIGs, PCI, HIPAA, ICD-10) * Experience with any Security Compliance Product(such as Nessus, IP360) * Solid experience automating manual administration tasks. * Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems and environments used within large enterprises * Advanced understanding of at least one IT discipline (e.g., Web Administration, storage management, telecommunication, data management, data center management). * Advanced knowledge of -platform specific products, in addition to command line interfaces, system functions and system tools. * Working knowledge of networking and data communication protocols. * Basic understanding of Project Management Methodology (PMM) and Product Change Management procedures in system implementation and project work.
