*Function*: Need a mid-level Endpoint Engineer to join the team and provide *McAfee support* for a recent acquisition. The endpoints consist of about 4,000 devices distributed across the U.S. The McAfee product consists of anti-virus and encryption functionality. Role: McAfee Endpoint Engineer - IL Location: Open based on resource selected – ideal would be Bloomington, St. Charles, or Warrenville, . Duration: immediate and initial 3 month, TBD from there… *Responsibilities*: - Support a 4,000 Endpoint McAfee installation environment distributed across the U.S focused on anti-virus and encryption functionality. - Review existing configurations and architecture and conduct software release and patch management as needed for these devices. - Act as a liaison to software vendors to maintain critical systems including McAfee, and Windows/Office. - Perform root cause analysis and remediate endpoint issues when they arise. - Track market developments and make recommendations regarding upgrades, device engineering and management solutions to improve efficiency. *Requirements and Qualifications* - 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Endpoint Engineer in environments using McAfee, MS Windows, possibly Mac/Linux and Symantec Altiris products is a plus. - Strong professional and interpersonal skills including: Creative problem solving, effective written and verbal communications, planned and organized coordination of cross functional teams, acute attention to detail and quality, driven with the ability to self-manage. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. - Experience with the following is a plus: Symantec Endpoint Protection, Symantec Endpoint Encryption, Symantec Critical System Protection, Apple Operating Systems, and Microsoft Windows Server Update Services. *Thanks,* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *972 546 8572* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GTA DBA" group.
