*Responsibilities:*
-
Lead QA efforts for a new development projects during the development
and implementation phases
-
Apply structured testing methodology and strategies
-
Ensure the quality of requirements and design specifications
-
Develop test plans to cover requirements
-
Create comprehensive test cases/scripts that are in accordance with
business and technical specifications
-
Perform test case reviews with Business Analysts and Development Team
-
Assist with test data identification
-
Plan and schedule test activities to ensure functional, system,
integration, and technical specifications
-
Develop and apply standards to ensure the application’s ability to meet
nonfunctional requirements via load testing
-
Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution
-
Communicate test results, issues, and risks to project team members,
project managers, and IT management
*Required Skills:*
-
5+ years QA experience testing web-based and/or client/server products
-
Excellent test planning and organizational skills
-
Experience in defect tracking
-
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
-
5+ years of writing test cases from requirements
-
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills
-
Ability to facilitate large meetings with all management levels in
attendance
-
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented
environment
-
Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and
perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
-
Organized and detail oriented
-
Excellent leadership and people skills
*Preferred Skills:*

2+ years QA experience testing mainframe applications

College Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

Transportation and Logistics experience
