We have an immediate Openings with Our Direct Client for a Long term contract position *Job Title: Senior Analyst (Migration Exp)* *Location: Pittsburgh PA* *Duration: 6+ Months* Client delivers the change from IT complexity to private cloud and "Zero Infrastructure" agility Client has a rapidly expanding team of consultants operating in Europe and the United States of America combining strategic experience in virtualization and cloud computing with technology know-how. Our clients include large financial services, telecoms and retail banking organizations. Position Summary We are seeking a high caliber Application Migration Analyst to participate in an IT transformation, which includes a datacenter migration, for our client, a large retail bank. The analyst will be responsible for facilitating the migrations of key business applications from one environment or data-center to another. Only candidates who are legally authorized to work in the US and can pass our background screening will be considered. *Required Experience* · Hands-on experience of applications and data-center migrations or rollouts in an enterprise environment. · A sound, broad technical knowledge including a good understanding of technical infrastructure components, middleware, databases, network and application topologies, complexity, and latency. · Business and application analysis, application migration preparation, planning, and migration. · Mature business liaison skills, ability to work with, and co-ordinate many migration participants. · Demonstrated understanding of application migration planning and management in a complex, distributed organization. · Demonstrated ability to work with line of business stakeholders, application owners and team members, and infrastructure teams, gaining their buy-in and participation, to facilitate the successful migration of applications from one environment to another. *Desired Experience* · Experience of working in a financial services organization · Qualifications and Skills · Good understanding of business application processes, SDLC, and migration principles · Good overall understanding of infrastructure, including applications components, middleware, and virtualization; knowledge of Solaris, Linux, and Windows platform would be useful · The ability to impose structure on a migration project or stream, both in terms of business liaison, discovery and intake planning, and the migration process itself · Good understanding of orchestration, automation and process optimization and acceleration · Strong influencing and collaborative working skills · Master’s/bachelor’s degree; or equivalent · Significant industry experience *Personality* This role will require working with many levels within Client and its clients and therefore a positive, out-going and engaging personality is essential as are an investigative and inquisitive nature, attention to detail, self-motivation, and drive.
