This position will also be responsible for installation and maintenance of operating system utility tools, such as IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT), Symantec VCS etc. The infrastructure engineer will work with managers and team leads in Platform Hosting Services (PHS) to support their needs of Linux and Unix expertise, delivering technical services to the service level required by the company. Solid knowledge and experience with enterprise level concepts is required, including high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, multipathing for HBAs and NICs, clustering at the OS level, and SAN/NAS technologies.
