Very strong experience in T-SQL, SQL Store procdures, Data analysis
Advanced TSQL Skills
Experience with upgrading cognos or cognos 7 series suite Installation
Cognos Adminisitration - publishing report , Publishing cubes, upfront,
understanding of macros & security
Impromptu administrator - for maintaining a catalog to writing a report
Transformer - from creating a source for the cube to crearing cube and
publishing
Powerplay - how to connect to report to a cube & have automatic update
of the report
Command understanding- how to use command file to get cognos cubes &
reports to run on a schedule
Trouble shooting & resolve cognos related issues
Skills on SQL server . TSQL Skills , SSIS DTS1
Advanced Performance and Tuning Skills
Strong Data Analysis and Design Skills
Excellent Communication and Analytical Skills
Self starter who can perform consultant role
Good knowledge of SDLC
Requirements:
Must:
• Solid understanding of BIDW concepts
• Deep knowledge Cognos Admin
• Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
• Strong experience designing and working with multi architectures
• Ability to design and work with SQL Server database
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
• Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible
team-player
• Passionate about building high-quality systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills able to identify alternatives, presenting
options, and making recommendations to meet the projects goals
• Good Problem solving abilities
