*Client is interested in hiring candidates from only WI & IL location.* *Job Title: Security Analyst* *Location: Madison, Wi - 53706* *Duration: 2 months* *Scope and Description of Engagement: * The University of Wisconsin – Madison is looking to establish an Information Technology infrastructure that complies with FISMA Moderate Data Security Standards. This is a specific subset of the NIST 800-53 security standards. The FISMA Moderate approved environment will be used in the campus Select Agent research programs. We have both internal and external mandates that we protect Select Agent data and specimens. The requirements regarding information security was outlined in the control plan that was approved in August of 2013. We have moved approximately 40% of the Select Agent Labs to this environment. The FISMA requirements have specific security controls and documentation that need to be created and maintained. We require someone with specific education and independence when reviewing and reporting on our compliance effort. The consultant will 1) aid in creating policy and procedure documentation and security controls; and 2) provide an external and independent assessment regarding our FISMA Moderate implementation, including a Gap analysis which specifies risk effort to close gaps. *General Security Analysts 3 Description: * Specializes in information and network security. Analyzes security risks and plans controls. Develops policies and procedures to implement security practices. Designs and implements controls. Monitors compliance with security policies and procedures. Has Security Analyst capabilities with 8 or more years of experience. Familiar with a variety of the security concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. *Mandatory Skills:* Must have experience with NIST 800-53. Must have recent FISMA Risk Management Framework Implementation Experience Must have 1+ year analyzing higher education or other research environments for FISMA Moderate Compliance.
