*Need object-oriented design and development in Java * *The Software Engineers will be working as part of a dynamic software development team to develop and maintain conditional access software* Java Developer with OOD Location New York Long Term * The Software Engineers will be working as part of a dynamic software development team to develop and maintain conditional access software. * Development will be primarily on Windows platform and IBM / AIX platform; duties will include software design, coding, technical document writing, troubleshooting and bug fixing. * Respect assigned tasks in Project Plan (deliverables, schedule, workload, Quality Assurance...) Requirements * Requirement analysis, software design, development and unit testing. * Write technical documents, such as design document, function specification, etc. * Ability to build strong relationships and establish solid collaboration with stakeholders and peers. * Curious and proactive mind-set with a high sense of ownership and commitment. Flexible to changes and resilient to stress. Profile * Working knowledge and experience (1-2 years) of object-oriented design and development in Java. * Write high quality code to implement designed functions. * Networking: TCP, UDP. * Database basics: ORACLE, SQLplus. * Any of the following would also be an advantage: * Scripting languages: Perl, ksh, csh, awk, * Knowledge in C++ development. * Knowledge in CORBA * Comfortable working in a Linux/UNIX or other POSIX environment. * Experience/knowledge in Digital Broadcasting standards/protocols (MPEG transport stream, DVB, IPTV, etc.) and digital broadcasting infrastructure. * Subversion for revision control of code * AGILE methodology *Thanks & Regards!* *Mark * *Swift Pace Solutions Inc.
