We need *Data Warehouse & Report Developer *at *Rockville, MD.* Please share suitable profiles to *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Job Title : Data Warehouse & Report DeveloperLocation : Rockville, MDDuration : Contract/Contract to Hire/Direct Hire* Data Management / Migration and ETL / Data Warehouse & Report Developer The Sr. Data Management / Programmer will work with other Data Warehouse personnel to design, code, test and support DW applications/load processes within an Oracle, Informatica, and MS SQL environment. The position is responsible for the development, testing, documentation, maintenance and support of the business intelligence environments. Additionally, works as part of the Business Analytics team to develop standards, incorporate best practices into all BA team activities. Data Migration activities will include Developing Data Migration Plans for delivery to customer Provide assistance with ETL standards and design for future supportability and ease of enhancements Assist with the creation of reusable components as they relate to the ETL framework Assist with the management of ETL scalability and system management Take ownership for issues to reach resolutions to prevent recurrences Develops custom data migration scripts to convert existing production data to target data models Conduct script optimization and tuning to efficiently execute scripts against large databases Performs data conversion validation, develops data reconciliation strategies and code, and conducts reconciliation testing, and provides support to functional analysts during system testing Technical Skill Requirements: Create and maintain ETL procedures in a variety of environments, including UNIX, Windows, Oracle, Informatica, Teradata, and SAS Define, document and execute test cases to effectively validate the new components of the data warehouse being developed, enhanced or otherwise maintained Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) development, database development, multi-dimensional environments and reporting applications is a must. Define and follow standards for data warehouse, create logical and physical data models as required Engage in peer reviews of design and code Complete mandatory application documentation, as specified by project Experience in full SDLC inclusive of design, development, implementation and deployment for custom applications/packaged solution Experience working within a formal software development life cycle (SDLC), such as Waterfall or Agile Proven experience utilizing UNIX/Linux shell scripting and other programming skills Experience with ETL/ELT Tool(s), InformaticaPowerCenter is a plus Experience with database replication tool(s), Oracle Golden Gate or Attunity Replicate is a plus Professional requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline Minimum 7+ years in information technology Minimum 5+ years in a data warehouse environment Ability to work in a large multi-instance, multi-server environment Comfortable in fast-paced, time-constrained development environment Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a team environment Must be detail oriented and self-managing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, both technical and user focused.
