*Job Title: Senior Network Engineer/Administrator / Analyst (F2F Must)Location: Annapolis, MDDuration: 6 months Contract* Job Description: Project Description: The Department of Information Technology (DoIT), Web Systems operates a web shared platform using SharePoint 2010 and Wordpress. The platform hosts 70 agency sites and news blogs, and 150 agency content managers including the Department of Budget and Management, the Governor's Office and coordinating offices, Maryland Emergency Management Administration, the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Agriculture. The Senior Network Engineer will support the network managed services including maintenance and configuration of site and security monitoring, firewalls, and remote backups. The Senior Network Engineer must be available during normal business hours (Monday -Friday, 9am -5pm) with some work during non- business hours in support of weekly change management schedule. The Senior Network Engineer will oversee the network managed services for the DoIT Web Systems shared platform including network maintenance and patches, monitor and configuration of Cisco Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and switches, configure Virtual servers in VMware environment, disaster recovery procedures, and manage remote backup system. Minimum Qualifications: At least nine years of experience in a computer-related field. At least seven years of progressive experience in planning, designing, implementation, and analyzing data networks. Experience monitoring and configuring the Cisco Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) network appliance. Experience in planning, designing, implementation of virtual environment using VMware vCenter. Experience in administration and configuration of F5 Big -IP load balancer. System administration of RedHat Linux Enterprise and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or 2012. Experience designing and maintaining and networks utilizing Cisco ASA firewalls and switches. Experience in application, server and security monitoring. Experience maintaining networks and associated equipment for a public - facing web sites and applications. i. Certifications in the following (all three) 1. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 2. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). 3. Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
