I use a kind of inbox. Don't know if it'll help you, but bay be useful. I have a simple text file where I put all of the bits I want to put into mGTD. Then every so often, I edit this text file so that everything is in a format ready for mGTD (I generally enter it in a mGTD ready format), then I cut and paste the contents of the file into 'Quick add' within mGTD.
You could obviously not paste anything that wasn't ready to go in yet, but at least they would be in a place where they wouldn't get lost.
